The Garmin GMA 1347D (P/N 011-01257-20) is a panel-mounted digital audio control and marker beacon unit for aircraft equipped with the Garmin G1000 integrated flight deck. This is the -20 cabin configuration, which adds a dedicated CABIN button for cabin-to-cockpit communication — the feature that distinguishes it from the standard -00 unit. (NSN 6610-01-592-7097.)
The unit manages audio selection and distribution through LED-illuminated push buttons for NAV, COM, DME, ADF, MKR, TEL, and AUX sources, with voice or tone annunciation. A built-in five-position intercom (ICS) provides electronic cabin-noise de-emphasis and two stereo music inputs; a dual installation extends the ICS to ten positions. Other features include a digital clearance recorder with up to 2.5 minutes of playback, a dual-sensitivity marker beacon receiver with audio muting, digital audio input/output to external radios, and a reversionary display-backup function. A failsafe circuit ties the pilot’s headset and microphone directly to the on-side COM if power is interrupted.
